Carlei Green Vineyards are regional wines made with fruit sourced from a number of vineyard sites. We have chosen areas that deliver both varietal and regional character, while multiple vineyards allow us to craft wines of consistent quality no matter what Mother Nature delivers. The range comprises five wines: Pinot Gris from the Cardinia Ranges, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley, Shiraz is out of Heathcote and Cabernet Sauvignon is Central Victorian.
A complex Chardonnay resulting from a combination of barrel and stainless steel ferments with a range of winemaking techniques. Fresh stone fruit aromas and flavours are complimented by roasted nuts and vibrant citrus. Inherent balance and hallmark Yarra Valley length complete an irresistible wine.

Aromatic Pinot Gris performs fantastically in the Cardinia Ranges. This has typical pear and exotic fruit / spice aromas combined with a mineral edge. A small portion of barrel ferment has added texture and complexity to a wine balanced with crisp and vibrant acidity. An alluring wine with superb mouth feel and length.

Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley provides us with typical dark red fruit flavours and earthy complexity. A medium bodied wine of silky texture, wrapped in fine ripe tannins and finishing with beautifully balanced acidity. A luscious Pinot Noir that will continue to build complexity over 3 to 5 years.

Lifted blue and blackberry fruits dominate the bouquet with cedar and varietal leafy nuances. Ripe and rich in flavour, the mixed fruits and earthy notes are framed by fine tannins and integrated French oak. A classic Central Victorian Cabernet Sauvignon, ripe but balanced with persistent acidity and varietal character.

The best of Heathcote. Showing spice and savoury notes leading to a palate that complements the aromas, rich and round with intense, juicy and chewy fruit, framed by soft but persistent tannins and a touch of oak. A lingering, balanced mineral acidity finishes a complex wine representing all that is great about Heathcote Shiraz. A wine of focused structure that will continue to develop with further bottle aging.
